About the Waves
We are a year round competitive swim club training out of Crestwood Recreation Centre and the Family Leisure Centre in Medicine Hat, Alberta from September through July. We offer competitive and developmental programs focusing on developing the whole swimmer, preparing them for a healthy future that includes fitness and recreation.
Our coaches are all accomplished swimmers and NCCP level 2 certified or NCCP fundamentals trained as required by Swim Canada. Our coaches are always upgrading their education and working toward NCCP Competition Developement "trained" (old level 3 certified) and NCCP Competition Introduction "trained" (old level 2 certified) status. As dedicated teachers at various schools in Medicine Hat, they understand the advantages of small student to teacher ratio's and being flexible with both parents and their swimmer. For advanced swimmers, we offer creative solutions for augmented training while keeping the fee structure the same.
Recently, we had 3 of our swimmers ranked number one in Canada in 5 events using this new augmented program. Whether your child is interested in fitness, making new friends, or swimming in competition - our program can meet those needs but most importantly, your swimmer will have fun along the way!
